Job summary

RAEBUS SDN. BHD. is seeking a capable Civil Site Supervisor to oversee daily construction activities, ensuring work meets drawings, specifications, and schedules.

You will coordinate contractors and site personnel, monitor progress, enforce safety standards, and prepare daily reports. Travel to project sites may be required. Diploma/Certificate in Civil Engineering with 3+ years of oversight experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years site supervision experience in industrial, factory, commercial or building projects preferred.
• Ability to read construction drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of site safety and quality control practices.

Job description

• Supervise and monitor daily construction activities to ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, construction schedules, and project requirements.
• Coordinate and oversee the daily activities of contractors, subcontractors, workers, and other site personnel to ensure smooth and efficient site operations.
• Monitor construction progress and workmanship, identify delays or discrepancies, and ensure timely rectification of defective or non-compliant works.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure construction works comply with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and relevant safety requirements.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and relevant parties to resolve site-related technical issues, construction matters, and work sequencing conflicts.
• Monitor site safety, housekeeping, and compliance with applicable safety procedures, and promptly report unsafe practices or potential hazards.
• Verify materials delivered to the site and monitor their proper storage, handling, and usage in accordance with project specifications.
• Maintain daily site records, including work progress, manpower, site activities, inspections, delays, and other relevant site matters.
• Attend site meetings and inspections, report site progress and issues to the Project Manager / Management and follow up on outstanding matters and corrective actions.
• Assist in coordinating testing, inspections, defect rectification, and project handover to ensure timely completion of the construction works.
• Perform any other site-related duties and responsibilities as may be reasonably assigned by the Company in connection with the Project.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Certificate in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Building Technology, or a related field. Relevant site supervision experience may be considered in lieu of formal qualifications.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in construction site supervision, preferably in industrial, factory, commercial, or building projects.
• Good knowledge of construction methods, site operations, building materials, and construction practices.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and site plans.
• Experience in coordinating and supervising contractors, subcontractors, workers, and daily site activities.
• Basic knowledge of construction quality control, site safety requirements, and applicable construction regulations.
• Good communication, coordination, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
• Able to maintain site records, prepare progress reports, and monitor construction schedules.
• Willing to work on-site and travel as required by the Project.
• Able to work independently, take initiative, and ensure timely follow-up on site matters.
