Job summary

Pertama Makmur Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to lead on-site construction activities in Malaysia. The role focuses on ensuring alignment with drawings, plans, and timelines while coordinating with contractors, consultants, and suppliers.

The candidate will interpret technical drawings, monitor quality, and prepare progress reports, reports, and inspections for management. Strong communication and regulatory familiarity are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Site Engineer in construction.
• Good knowledge of construction practices, materials and regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiar with project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Ensure construction work aligns with drawings and work programme.
• Supervise and monitor site construction activities to meet plans, specifications and timelines.
• Coordinate, monitor, control and report delivery materials status.
• Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, consultants and suppliers for timely execution.
• Ensure works meet required quality standards and regulations.
• Interpret technical drawings, plans and specifications.
• Prepare site, inspection and progress reports for management.
• Identify and resolve technical issues on-site.
• Support procurement of materials and equipment as required.
• Coordinate inspections, permits, and regulatory compliance with local authorities.
• Attend site, technical, safety and coordination meetings for effective communication.
• Supervise site staff to follow instructions.
• Ensure safety procedures; support a safe working environment.
