Job summary

Choongcons (Penang) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Site Coordinator to supervise daily construction activities and coordinate with PMs, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure work is completed per schedule and quality standards.

The role requires at least 5 years of site coordination experience on high-rise projects, with strong communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia, and willingness to work after hours when required.

Qualifications

• Candidates must possess at least SPM level or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years' working experience with a main contractor on high-rise projects in site coordination.
• Possess strong project coordination, management and communication skills in dealing with contractors and team members.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities to ensure works are carried out efficiently and according to project requirements.
• Manage and monitor subcontractors, workers, and site teams to ensure manpower, proper work allocation, productivity, and work quality.
• Monitor site progress and coordinate with the Project Manager, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and other relevant parties to ensure works are completed according to the project schedule.
• Ensure construction works comply with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, inspection requirements, and the Company's quality standards.
• Support and monitor compliance with site safety and health requirements and ensure a safe and orderly working environment.
• Coordinate the planning, ordering, delivery, availability, and proper use of construction materials, machinery, tools, and equipment.
• Identify, coordinate, and resolve technical, construction, and site issues promptly, and elevate matters to the Project Manager where necessary.
• Check, prepare, maintain, and submit site records, daily reports, progress updates, inspection documents, drawings, and other relevant project documentation.
• Attend site meetings and provide updates on project progress, manpower, materials, site issues, and other matters affecting the project.
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Management from time to time.
