Job summary

Yokogawa is seeking an experienced System Architecture & Integration professional in Malaysia to lead system integration strategies for control, safety, and monitoring across DCS, PLC, SCADA, SIS, and third-party systems. The role focuses on project leadership from detailed design to handover, working with EPCs and vendors to ensure timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in electrical, Instrumentation, Control Systems, or Computer Engineering.
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in system integration within oil & gas or petrochemical industries.
• Proven experience with major control platforms (e.g., DCS,IPS).
• Strong knowledge of industrial protocols (Modbus, Foundation Field Bus, Ethernet/IP).
• Familiarity with safety systems (SIS), fire & gas systems, and data historians (e.g., PI System).
• Experience in managing integration projects in brownfield and greenfield environments.
• Experience in handling and delivering projects in turnaround or shutdown event.

System Architecture & Integration

• Lead the development of system integration strategies for control, safety, and monitoring systems.
• Provide overview of system architecture diagrams, network layouts, and integration documentation.
• Ensure compatibility and communication between DCS, PLC, SCADA, SIS, and third-party systems.

Project Leadership

• Oversee integration activities during project phases during detailed design, FAT/SAT, commissioning, and handover.
• Coordinate with EPC contractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely and compliant delivery.
• Review and integrate technical specifications, integration plans, and test procedures.

Operational Support & Troubleshooting

• Provide expert-level support for system diagnostics, troubleshooting, and performance tuning, if required.

Cybersecurity & Compliance

• Ensure integration practices align with internal cybersecurity standards.
• Maintain compliance with industry regulations, if applicable.

Mentorship & Knowledge Transfer

• Mentor junior engineers and technicians in system integration best practices.
• Conduct technical workshops and training sessions for operations and maintenance teams.

Requirements
