Job summary

Yokogawa Electric (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a field service professional to perform on-site commissioning, troubleshooting, calibration, and maintenance of Yokogawa products across customer sites in Malaysia. The role involves diagnosing mechanical, electrical, or software issues and providing clear technical guidance to customers.

You will document service activities, generate reports, support project engineering during FAT/SAT, and train customer staff on proper use and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Engineering.
• Experience making training presentations for customers.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills; able to perform under pressure.
• Integrity and trustworthiness to ensure compliance with company ethics.
• Strong believer of teamwork with influencing skills.
• Own transport and willing to travel extensively.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site commissioning, troubleshooting, calibration, and maintenance of Yokogawa products.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, or software issues, remotely and during site visits.
• Provide timely technical support to customers and assist project teams with FAT/SAT.
• Document all service activities and generate detailed service reports.
• Educate customers or internal teams on proper use, maintenance, and safety procedures.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal quality guidelines.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and coordinate team training needs.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintenance & Servicing

• Perform on-site commissioning, troubleshooting, calibration, and maintenance of Yokogawa products.
• Handle service and spare parts inquiries, generate quotations, and assist customers with technical details.
• Record calibration data and issue service reports, ensuring that all data is accurately documented.

Troubleshooting

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, or software-related issues, both remotely and during site visits.
• Ensure prompt identification and resolution of any equipment malfunctions.

Customer Support

• Provide timely and effective technical support to customers, ensuring clear and simple explanations of technical details.
• Offer internal support for project engineering, FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing), and SAT (Site Acceptance Testing).

Reporting

• Document all service activities, repair work, and customer interactions.
• Generate and submit detailed service reports for internal and customer review.

Training:

• Educate customer or internal teams on the proper use, maintenance, and safety procedures of Yokogawa products and systems.

Compliance

• Ensure that all maintenance and service activities meet industry regulations, safety standards, and internal quality guidelines.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, and product teams to provide feedback on equipment performance and address customer requirements.
• Offer insights on equipment enhancements and customer needs for future projects.

Other Activities

• Conduct regular performance reviews, identify training needs, and ensure continuous professional development of the team.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 27001 standards, along with company policies and procedures

Education:

• A Degree or Diploma in any discipline of Engineering
• Experience in making training presentation for customers
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, able to perform under pressure.
• Integrity and trustworthiness to ensure full compliance with company ethics
• Strong believer of team work with skills of influencing
• Possess own transport and willing to travel extensively
