Job summary

MicroRel Solution Sdn Bhd is seeking a Service Engineer to install, commission, maintain and repair environmental test chambers and reliability testing equipment across Malaysia. You will diagnose electrical, refrigeration and control system issues and provide on-site support to customers.

The role includes documenting service activities and traveling to customer sites, with training and exposure to advanced test equipment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Instrumentation, or Refrigeration & AC.
• Experience in equipment servicing or industrial maintenance is advantageous.
• Knowledge of electrical circuits, mechanical systems, troubleshooting and control systems.
• Strong problem-solving, hands-on approach and good customer communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of environmental test chambers and reliability testing equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and control system issues.
• Conduct on-site servicing and provide timely technical support to customers.
• Perform equipment inspections, functional verification and service-related testing.
• Prepare service reports, maintenance records, and technical documentation.
• Support calibration, temperature uniformity surveys and validation activities.
• Communicate with customers to understand issues and propose solutions.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams on parts and service activities.
• Support equipment upgrades, retrofitting and other engineering projects.
• Travel to customer sites within Malaysia and occasionally overseas.

Job description

The Service Engineer will support customers across Malaysia by performing installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of environmental test chambers and reliability testing equipment for the semiconductor, electronics, automotive, and other high-tech industries.

Key responsibilities

Perform installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of environmental test chambers and reliability testing equipment

Diagnose mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and control system issues

Conduct on-site servicing and provide timely technical support to customers

Perform equipment inspections, functional verification, and service-related testing

Prepare service reports, maintenance records, and technical documentation

Support equipment calibration, temperature uniformity surveys, and validation activities where required

Communicate with customers to understand technical issues and recommend appropriate solutions

Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams on technical matters, spare parts, and service activities

Support equipment upgrades, retrofitting, and other engineering projects

Travel to customer sites within Malaysia and occasionally overseas when required

About you

Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Instrumentation, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, or a related technical discipline

Experience in equipment servicing, industrial maintenance, automation, refrigeration systems, or instrumentation is an advantage

Knowledge of electrical circuits, mechanical systems, troubleshooting, and control systems

Ability to read technical drawings, electrical schematics, and equipment manuals

Strong problem-solving skills and a hands‑on approach to technical work

Good communication skills and a customer-oriented attitude

Willingness to travel for on‑site service assignments

Possess a valid driving licence

Fresh graduates with a strong technical foundation and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply
