Job summary

Qualifications

• Diploma or above in Mechanical/Industrial/Robotics Engineering, Automation, or related field.
• 1-3+ years in technical sales, solutions engineering or presales in warehouse automation.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin; strong presentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Independently lead technical sales engagements, deliver product demonstrations, and present warehouse automation solutions to prospective clients.
• Provide expert pre-sales support to the commercial sales team to ensure technical viability and secure contracts involving AGVs, ACRs, AMRs, and integrated systems.
• Analyse customer warehouse operations, conduct on-site logistics evaluations, and design optimised automated system layouts.
• Develop detailed technical proposals, bidding documents, ROI calculations, and throughput analyses tailored to customer requirements.
• Act as the primary technical bridge between customers and internal engineering, deployment, and R&D teams during the pre-contract phase.
• Empower regional sales teams and channel partners by providing technical training, product updates, and solution support.

About the role

New Trend International Logis-Tech is seeking an experienced (Senior) Sales Engineer to join our dynamic team in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This is a full-time position that combines technical expertise with sales acumen to drive business growth in the manufacturing, transport and logistics sector. As a Sales Engineer, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between our innovative solutions and our clients' operational needs. You will be responsible for understanding complex customer requirements, presenting tailored technical solutions, and closing high-value deals that contribute to our strategic objectives.

Job Responsibilities

Independently lead technical sales engagements, deliver product demonstrations, and present warehouse automation solutions to prospective clients.

Job Requirements

Diploma or above in Mechanical/Industrial/Robotics Engineering, Automation, or a related technical field.

1-3 years or more of experience in technical sales, solutions engineering, or presales support within the warehouse automation or material handling industry.

Strong commercial awareness combined with excellent analytical, presentation, and communication abilities.

Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar layout design tools for warehouse space planning and material flow mapping.

Basic understanding of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Warehouse Control Systems (WCS), and software integration processes.

Comfortable working in a bilingual environment; able to communicate fluently in English and Mandarin as working languages.

Willingness to travel frequently for business development, trade shows, and on-site customer evaluations. Self-motivated, results-driven mindset with excellent organisational skills
