Job summary

2201 United Overseas Bank (Malaysia) Bhd is seeking a Senior Relationship Manager to oversee corporate accounts, ensuring full utilization of credit facilities and driving profitability. You will cross-sell investment banking, treasury and insurance products while delivering high-quality banking services to key clients.

The role requires strong communication, strategic relationship-building with senior executives, and a track record of sales success in a corporate banking environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance / Business Administration / Economics / Accounting or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years working experience in banking, preferably in corporate or commercial banking.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build long term relationships.
• Ability to think creatively and outside the box.
• Experience in dealing with senior management level executives.
• Confident, articulate and able to work under pressure.
• Proven track record of success in sales and business development.
• Good knowledge of financial markets and products.
• Demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned accounts/relationships, ensuring credit facilities are fully utilized.
• Monitor the performance of each account and identify areas for profitability improvements.
• Cross-sell other bank products such as investment banking, treasury and insurance.
• Grow existing customers’ relationships by providing quality banking services and timely service.
• Respond quickly to customer queries and resolve issues promptly.
• Build strong relationships with key decision makers to understand needs and preferences.
• Ensure compliance with all regulations and policies when managing accounts.
• Prepare regular reports to track progress and identify risks or opportunities.
• Keep abreast of market developments and trends to better serve customers.
