Job summary

Leighton Asia invites applications for a Senior Quantity Surveyor (MEP/CSA) based in Kuala Lumpur & Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. You will lead cost control, claims, variations, and final accounts across complex infrastructure projects.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying with a minimum of 12 years in quantity surveying or commercial management within construction, and demonstrates strong contract knowledge, negotiation, and stakeholder management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying or related.
• Minimum 12 years of quantity surveying or commercial management experience in construction.
• Strong knowledge of contracts, claims management, cost control, and contract administration.
• Experience in managing client claims, variations, subcontract procurement, and final accounts.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor project costs, budgets, forecasts, and commercial performance to ensure profitability.
• Prepare, submit, and negotiate progress claims, variations, extension of time claims, and final accounts with clients.
• Administer subcontract agreements, including tendering, evaluation, award, payment certification, variations, and final account settlement.
• Monitor project cash flow, payment collections, and commercial reporting, ensuring timely revenue recovery.
• Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities while ensuring compliance with contractual, legal, and company requirements.

• Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
