Leighton Asia, part of the CIMIC Group, invites applications for a Senior Planning Engineer role based in Kuala Lumpur and Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. You will develop, maintain, and monitor integrated project schedules using Primavera P6, perform critical path analysis, and support project execution with reporting and dashboards.

We seek a seasoned professional with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and at least 10 years of planning experience in large-scale infrastructure, data center or MEP

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in construction planning and scheduling.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 with strong CPM knowledge.

Responsabilités

• Develop and monitor integrated project schedules using Primavera P6 to meet milestones.
• Conduct critical path analysis, identify risks, and implement mitigation plans.
• Prepare progress reports, S-curves, histograms, forecasts and dashboards.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams.
• Mentor junior staff and promote planning best practices and safety standards.

Job Duties

• Develop, maintain, and monitor integrated project schedules using Primavera P6 to ensure project milestones are achieved.
• Conduct critical path analysis, identify schedule risks, and implement recovery and mitigation plans to minimize delays.
• Prepare and present project progress reports, S-curves, manpower histograms, forecasts, and planning dashboards.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal project teams to support project execution and reporting requirements.
• Mentor Planning Engineers and junior staff while promoting planning best practices, safety requirements, and project control standards.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in construction planning and scheduling.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and strong knowledge of CPM, project controls, and progress reporting.
• Experience in Data Center, mission-critical, industrial, infrastructure, or large-scale MEP projects.
• Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
