Job summary

Country Garden Pacificview Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor (Executive/Senior Executive/Manager) for our Tampoi, Johor team. You will handle cost estimation, financial planning, and project economics to ensure profitability and client satisfaction.

The role requires mentoring junior staff, delivering on-budget projects, and coordinating with managers, engineers, and clients. A strong background in QS, cost management, and English/Chinese language skills is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documentation for construction projects.
• Conduct comprehensive financial analysis and cost planning for project proposals and tenders.
• Monitor and control project costs throughout the construction phase, identifying and managing variations and claims.
• Provide pricing and valuation advice to senior management and clients on project economics.
• Review contract documents, specifications and drawings to ensure accuracy and completeness of estimates.
• Manage supplier and contractor quotations, analyse bids, and negotiate favourable rates.
• Prepare progress reports and financial statements detailing project expenditure against budgets.
• Lead and mentor junior quantity surveying staff and liaise with project managers and clients to resolve cost-related issues.
