Qualifications

• BSc/MSc in Quantity Surveying or related built environment.
• Professional membership with recognised surveying bodies.
• 2–5 years post-qualification experience on medium to large-scale projects.
• Expertise in cost estimation, planning, contract administration and final accounts.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian contracts and procurement practices.
• Proficient in QS software and MS Office.
• Experience in leading and mentoring staff.
• Excellent communication and negotiation with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and site safety.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and tender documentation for projects.
• Manage project budgets and forecasts to ensure costs stay within limits.
• Conduct contract administration and manage variations, claims and disputes.
• Perform cost planning and value engineering to optimise finances.
• Liaise with architects, engineers, contractors and clients for cost alignment.
• Monitor project expenditure and provide regular cost updates.
• Prepare final accounts and settle disputes through negotiation.
• Lead and mentor junior quantity surveying staff.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
