Job summary

MTAI Sdn. Bhd. in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a proactive Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage project costs, contracts, and commercial matters for our construction projects.

You will work with project teams to ensure value delivery and adherence to budget and timelines. Key duties include preparing Bills of Quantities, cost estimates, tender documents, and cost analysis; conducting quantity take-offs; evaluating tenders and final accounts; monitoring budgets; and supporting contract administration

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in QS/Construction management or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in construction or building projects.
• Knowledge of PAM, JKR, CIDB and FIDIC contracts.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BQ), cost estimates, tender documents, and project cost analysis.
• Conduct quantity take-offs based on drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Evaluate tenders, variation orders (VO), progress claims, subcontractor claims, and final accounts.
• Monitor project costs, budgets, cash flow, and implement cost control measures throughout project execution.
• Assist in contract administration, contractual correspondence, and project documentation.
• Manage variation orders (VO), claims, and Extension of Time (EOT) assessments.
• Coordinate with project teams, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients on commercial and contractual matters.
• Attend project meetings and support overall project commercial management.
• Establish and improve commercial processes, contract administration workflows, and cost control SOPs to support business growth and operational efficiency.
