Job summary

Design Foundry Sdn. Bhd. in Kuala Lumpur seeks a Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage financial, contractual and commercial aspects of construction and fit-out projects from tender through final account.

You will support procurement planning, cash flow forecasting, cost control, risk management, and commercial decision-making to protect margins and maximise project profitability. You will collaborate with Project Managers, Site teams and Finance to prepare cost plans, tender packages, variations,

Qualifications

Strong skills in measurement and quantity take-off.
Proven procurement, tendering and commercial negotiation capabilities.
In-depth knowledge of PAM, CIDB, FIDIC, and Design & Build contracts.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Experience with QS software such as CostX, Buildsoft, Glodon or Cubicost.

Responsibilities

Prepare preliminary cost estimates, Bills of Quantities, Schedules of Rates and cost plans.
Conduct value engineering and assess alternative materials or methods for cost efficiency.
Prepare tender packages, tender instructions, specifications and scope definitions.
Invite, evaluate and negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
Recommend subcontractors based on cost, capability and quality; issue Letters of Award and Purchase Orders.
Monitor budgets, procurement schedules and delivery coordination.
Track expenditure against budgets and prepare Cost Control Reports.
Prepare client progress claims and verify subcontractor claims.
