Q ZIN IDEA SDN. BHD. in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage cost, contracts and budgeting for construction projects. Based in our KL office, you will ensure cost efficiency, accuracy of bills, and timely reporting to management.

You will prepare estimates, monitor costs, handle variation orders, liaise with clients and contractors, supervise junior surveyors, and ensure compliance with regulations and company policies through all project phases.

Formación

• Diploma/degree in QS or related field.
• 2–5 years of construction industry experience.
• Good understanding of drawings, BQ preparation, and contract specs.
• Experience in tendering, subcontractor procurement, progress claims, variation orders and final accounts.
• Knowledge of Malaysian construction regulations and standards.
• Willingness to visit construction sites regularly and collaborate with project teams.

Responsabilidades

• Preparing accurate cost estimates, budgets and financial reports for construction projects from inception through completion.
• Managing contracts, procurement and supplier relationships to ensure competitive pricing and quality materials delivery.
• Monitoring project costs throughout all stages of construction, identifying variances and implementing corrective measures to keep projects within budget.
• Preparing and negotiating bills of quantities, variation orders and contract documentation with clients and contractors.
• Conducting site inspections and measurements to verify work progress and quality standards.
• Preparing detailed cost analyses and financial reports for project stakeholders and management.
• Providing expert advice on cost control, value engineering and risk management strategies.
• Liaising with project managers, architects, engineers and clients to ensure alignment on project costs and timelines.
• Mentoring and supervising junior quantity surveyors and supporting team members in their professional development.
• Ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations and company policies throughout all project activities.
