Job summary

Budi Pelangi sdn bhd is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team in Sabah. You will manage project costs, prepare estimates, and ensure financial viability from tender to completion.

The role requires 3–5 years of proven experience, strong knowledge of cost analysis and construction contracts, and proficiency in QS software. You will liaise with project teams to keep projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of estimating methodologies, cost analysis and contracts.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specs.
• Proficiency with quantity surveying software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for tender and pre-tender stages.
• Analyse drawings, specifications, and documents to quantify materials and labour.
• Conduct site surveys and measurements for estimating data.
• Monitor project costs and identify variances with corrective actions.
• Manage valuations and interim payments for contractors and clients.
• Prepare BOQ, cost breakdowns, and schedules.
• Negotiate with suppliers/contractors for competitive pricing.
• Maintain records of all cost-related information.
• Provide cost advice to project managers and stakeholders.
• Assist in tender evaluation and contract administration.
