Job summary

Weo Optronics in Malaysia is seeking a Quality Improvement professional to lead CAPA/SCAR, root cause analysis, and ensure closure of corrective actions. You will liaise between customers and the factory, drive investigations, and verify effectiveness in a TLA manufacturing environment.

You will coordinate MRB reviews, support NPI/FA activities, and contribute to ISO 9001/14001 quality systems, with some travel to supplier/factory facilities as needed.

Qualifications

• 5 years in a Quality function from box build/TLA manufacturing
• Experience in production control and customer complaint handling
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Sound knowledge of ISO 9001/ISO 14001
• Experience with Quality Tools (CAPA, 5 Why, Risk assessment, control plan, SPC, metrology)
• Willingness to travel ~10% to supplier/factory facilities
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Quality Improvement / Complaint handling

• Liaison between customer and factory on quality related issues
• Coordinate investigation, drive root cause analysis and corrective actions

• Participate in weekly factory KPI & Quality meetings

IQC/IPQC/OQC

• Use of advanced inspection equipment for product release activities
• Coordinate investigation of quality issues with factory/supplier
• Coordinate MRB review meeting to ensure NCMR are investigated and processed in a timely manner
• Review and prepare inspection reports for shipment
• Work with internal stakeholders to process MRB/RTV parts

NPI / First Article Qualification

• Participate in NPI / FA drawing review meetings to align test acceptance criteria and inspection test plans
• Support inspection correlation activities between customer and factory
• Support FA source inspection, review FA documentation for completeness and submit FA package for Qualification
• Conduct review meeting to ensure completeness of manufacturing documentation after FA Qualification approval

Secondary duties - Quality systems/Continuous improvement

• Support the implementation and maintenance of QEMS according to ISO 9001/14001 requirements
• Lead improvement / project rollouts
• ESG Sustainability Coordinator – Support Manager on sustainability initiatives

REQUIREMENTS

• 5 years in a Quality function role from box build, Top level assembly (TLA) manufacturing environment
• Experience in production control and customer complaint handling
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Sound knowledge and application of ISO 9001/ISO 14001 standards
• Sound knowledge and application of Quality Tools
• Experienced in PPAP, Risk management and SPC methodologies
• Experienced with Microsoft word, excel and powerpoint
• Some traveling (10%) to Supplier / Factory facility
• Strong understanding in the use of Quality & Process Controls tools (CAPA, 5 Why, Risk assessment, control plan, SPC, metrology, and inspection techniques)
