Job summary

Parker Hannifin is seeking a Quality & Operations Specialist to drive companywide quality management, including supplier quality, and to act as Management Representative for ISO 9001 and IATF16949 when required. The role ensures QA processes are established, implemented and maintained to meet customer expectations.

The successful candidate will guide technical evaluation and data acquisition to meet quality objectives, support customer issue resolution, and implement corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in materials science or mechanical engineering (or equivalent).
• Familiar with ISO 9001 / IATF16949 / OHSAS 18001 / ISO 14001 and related quality systems.
• At least 3 years relevant experience.
• Good understanding of customer requirements and ability to coordinate with operations to meet expectations.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Support companywide continuous quality improvement towards absolute zero-defect culture.
• Ensures Quality Policy & Quality Objectives and Management Review Processes are in place; quality system management and performance measurement.
• Develops and establishes quality systems, inspection plans, quality performance trends, and control plans for proposals.
• Assist with hosting third party auditors and customer auditors.
• Promote quality training and use statistical methods to assess quality performance.
• Communicate with overseas and local vendors to address quality issues as needed.

This position will be supporting on overall quality management and operations which inclusive of supplier quality management. Act as Management Representative for ISO9001, IATF16949 when is needed; Ensures the process for Quality Management Systems are established, implemented and maintained.

Responsible to guide technical evaluation, analysis, and related data acquisition processes to ensure quality objectives are achieved. Support to resolve customer issue and implement improvement actions on customer complaint. Ensure all the QA tests are performed as accordance to control plan and support all the necessary testing capability set up to support NPI.

Responsibilities

• Supporting companywide continuous quality improvement towards absolute zero-defect culture.
• Ensures Quality Policy & Quality Objectives and Management Review Processes are in place;
• Quality System Management: Implements the performance measurements necessary to effectively evaluate organizational performance and trends in product quality, services, customer satisfaction and the cost of poor quality;
• Develops and establishes quality systems and procedures, inspection plans, quality performance trends, statistical plans, control plan, cost estimates and technical quality plans for proposals;
• Ensures that project and/or process control documentation is compliant with requirements and/or contract;
• Proposes enhancements and improvements to products and processes by applying continuous improvement and key lean manufacturing/production principles and techniques to critical areas of production;
• Support to resolve the customer complaint and other corrective/preventive action programs;
• Assist superior on hosting third party auditors and customer auditors;
• Quality Training: Promote ZD culture to ensure that individuals performing quality functions trained and demonstrate the appropriate skills and performance results
• Assesses quality performance (or cost-of-quality) using statistical and analytical methods
• Report the status of quality systems indicators such as cost of quality, warranty expense, scrap/standard hour cost, TQM survey results, etc.;
• Makes quality-related customer and vendor visits and contacts as required;
• Develops and reviews Quality Skills Matrix;
• Support communicating with overseas, local vendors for quality issue when necessary
• Returned goods (supplier material, even from customer side) controlling;
• Develops, modifies, applies, and maintains quality standards for products and processes
• Responsible to ensure the implementation and accuracy of all QA tests required by all the products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with material science or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Familiar with ISO 9001/IATF16949, OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001 and other related quality system, having relevant certificates.
• At least 3 years relevant experience
• Good understanding of customer requirements and able to coordinate with operations to meet customer’s expectations
• Strong problem-solving skills, such as 8D, 5 WHY & etc.
• Candidate are required to travel occasionally.
