Job summary

Inter Island Group is seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer in Malaysia to lead end-to-end test automation. The role involves collaborating with Product Owners and developers to define comprehensive test strategies and deliver high-quality software aligned with Mercedes-Benz standards.

You will design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks (UI/API) and drive continuous testing across the SDLC. Strong collaboration, testing expertise, and experience with CI/CD are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Software Engineering or related field.
• 5–8 years of QA or automation testing experience.
• Experience with automation tools Selenium, Cypress, Playwright or Appium.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end test automation activities from requirement analysis to deployment.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, developers and stakeholders to define test strategies.
• Drive and implement scalable automation frameworks for UI/API testing.
• Ensure testing aligns with end-to-end system architecture and data flows.
• Develop and execute automated test scripts for functional, regression, integration and performance testing.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery.
• Establish QA standards, automation best practices and coding guidelines across projects.
• Drive improvements in testing processes, tools and frameworks to enhance product quality.
