Job summary

MCC Labels (Penang) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Senior Purchaser/Sourcing Specialist to join our Perai, Penang operations. You will lead strategic sourcing, supplier qualification and contract management to support manufacturing with UL and ISO compliance.

The role demands at least 5 years in procurement, including 2+ years in a senior capacity, and strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills. Proficiency in ERP and MS Office is essential, with cross-functional collaboration across QA,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business administration, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of procurement experience, with 2+ years in a senior role.
• Familiarity with UL standards and ISO 9001/14001/45001 compliance.
• Professional certifications (CPP, CPSM, CPS or CIPS) preferred.
• Strong negotiation, analytical and communication skills.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Strategic sourcing and supplier management to optimize cost, quality and delivery.
• Ensure UL safety standards and ISO quality requirements are met by suppliers.
• Draft, negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers.
• Forecast material requirements and coordinate procurement with production planning.
• Monitor inventory levels and minimize downtime through timely purchasing.
• Analyze procurement data and drive cost reduction while maintaining compliance.
• Maintain documentation for audits and supplier communications; support audits.
• Lead procurement-related projects and mentor junior staff; collaborate across QA, Eng., Finance, and Production.
