Job summary

SCC Marketing (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Purchaser to support purchasing strategy execution and supplier management in a fast-paced FMCG environment. You will handle demand planning, supplier negotiations, and ensure timely procurement while maintaining cost efficiency.

You will also manage purchase orders, monitor market trends, and collaborate with logistics and internal teams to ensure smooth delivery and compliance with SOPs. Strong communication and negotiation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Min 2 years of working experience as Purchaser in FMCG industry.
• Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, International Trade, or a related field.
• Hands on experience in handling purchasing documentations.
• Strong analytical ability and cost conscious.
• Knowledge of negotiation skill.
• Strong work ethics, resourceful and problem solver.
• Strong communication skill, both written and verbal.
• Able to work at a fast pace, multi-task and tight deadlines environment.
• Able to handle external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support purchasing strategy execution, including supplier management, cost control, and inventory optimization.
• Execute demand planning aligned with sales forecasts to ensure supply availability and avoid stock-out situations
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to achieve the best pricing, quality, and terms
• Manage purchase orders, procurement processes, and ensure compliance with company SOPs
• Monitor market trends, commodity prices, and provide insights for cost-saving opportunities
• Coordinate with suppliers, logistics providers, and internal teams to ensure smooth delivery and documentation flow
• Support budgeting, KPI tracking, and reporting for the purchasing function
• Conduct supplier performance review and participate in supplier audits when required
• Work closely with cross‑functional teams to support business operations and continuous improvement
