Job summary

Signature Alliance Group Berhad is seeking a Senior Project Manager / Project Manager for ID Retail based in Kuala Lumpur. You will lead multiple retail fit-out and development projects from planning through handover, coordinating with landlords, consultants, contractors and internal teams.

You will develop schedules, manage budgets, control procurement and oversee safety, quality and compliance across projects, with travel to site as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in retail fit-out, store development or project management.
• Minimum 5 years in a senior PM or leadership role.
• Proven experience managing retail, F&B, mall or commercial development projects.
• Strong knowledge of planning, budgeting, procurement, contracts and cost management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple retail fit-out, renovation, refurbishment and new outlet development projects from planning through handover.
• Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, resources and delivery strategies.
• Coordinate with landlords, mall management, consultants, contractors and suppliers.
• Oversee design development, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning and final handover.
• Monitor progress, costs, quality, safety, risks and compliance; implement corrective actions.
• Review tenders, quotations, procurement proposals, variation orders and final accounts.
• Prepare status reports, budgets, forecasts, risk registers and management presentations.
• Ensure proper project documentation, change control, defect management and close-out.

SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER / PROJECT MANAGER - ID RETAIL

Lead and manage multiple retail fit-out, renovation, refurbishment, reinstatement and new outlet development projects from planning through handover and close-out.

Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, resources and delivery strategies to achieve project objectives.

Coordinate with landlords, mall management, consultants, contractors, suppliers and internal departments to ensure smooth project execution.

Oversee design development, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, defect rectification and final handover.

Monitor project progress, costs, quality, safety, risks and compliance, and implement corrective actions where required.

Review tenders, quotations, procurement proposals, variation orders, contractor claims, EOT claims and final accounts.

Manage project budgets, forecasts, cash flow and cost-to-complete, including identifying cost-saving and value-engineering opportunities.

Conduct regular site inspections to monitor workmanship, construction progress, safety and compliance with approved drawings and specifications.

Lead and manage project teams, consultants, contractors and suppliers, ensuring deliverables and contractual obligations are met.

Prepare project status reports, budget updates, forecasts, risk registers and management presentations.

Ensure proper project documentation, change control, defect management, final accounts and project close-out.

Provide project management advice to Management and perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Quantity Surveying, Building or a related field.

Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in retail fit-out, store development, renovation, refurbishment, construction or project management.

Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior project management or leadership role.

Proven experience managing retail, F&B, shopping mall, commercial development or similar projects.

Strong knowledge of project planning, construction, budgeting, procurement, contracts and cost management.

Strong stakeholder management, communication, negotiation, problem-solving and leadership skills.

Able to manage multiple projects, competing priorities and tight timelines effectively.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management/scheduling software.

Good understanding of safety, statutory, landlord and project compliance requirements.

Strong commercial awareness with a results-oriented and accountable approach.

Willing to travel between project sites and work outside normal hours when required.

Relevant professional project management or technical certification will be an advantage.
