Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager (Fit-Out) to oversee retail store renovations and interior fit-out projects. You will lead projects in shopping malls and commercial spaces, coordinating with mall management, contractors, and internal teams to ensure on-time delivery.

The role requires strong leadership, budgeting, and M&E coordination, with fluency in English and Malay, plus Mandarin and Cantonese as needed to liaise with our diverse client base.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in retail expansion, property, leasing, project management, fit-out or retail development.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, and related software.
• Ability to manage cross-functional teams, external vendors, and contractors.
• Detail-oriented with strong project management, communication and presentation skills.
• Organized with excellent interpersonal skills to coordinate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end renovation of retail shops, liaising with mall management and contractors.

• Consolidate project reports for management with cost-saving focus.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager (Fit-Out) to oversee and lead the successful execution of retail store renovations and interior fit-out projects. This role demands strong leadership, strategic planning, and in-depth knowledge of construction and M&E coordination. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record managing retail projects within shopping malls and commercial environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the end-to-end renovation of retail shops, including compiling required documentation, liaising with mall management and contractors, and submitting relevant applications (insurance, work permits, electricity, etc.).

• Administer tendering processes, follow up on drawing requisitions, and ensure timely project execution according to approved renovation schedules.

• Procure interior fixtures and manage logistics to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials to site.

• Consolidate project reports for management review with a focus on cost-effectiveness and efficiency.

• Monitor and manage project budgets and capital expenditures to ensure alignment with financial goals.

• Oversee the rectification of defects post-renovation and support ongoing maintenance of existing outlets.

• Coordinate and supervise Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) works, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.

• Ensure all works comply with local regulations, mall guidelines, safety, and quality standards.

• Perform other ad-hoc tasks

Knowledge / Competencies required：

• Min 5years in retail expansion, property, leasing, project management, fit-out or retail development.

• Proficiency in project management and design tools such as AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, and other relevant software.

• Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams, external vendors, and contractors.

• Detail-minded, strong project management, communication and presentation skills.

• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to coordinate with stakeholders at all levels.

• Willing to work under pressure.

• Required languages – English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin & Cantonese as this roles will required to liaise with our diverse client base and partners.
