The role requires a Civil Engineering degree with 10+ years in civil/building works, strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, and proficiency in Primavera/ MS Project. • Review project documentation, progress reports, and cost coding; manage subcontractor claims and invoices.
• Analyze variances in performance and material wastage; implement corrective actions.
• Enforce all company policies, safety requirements and site procedures.

VVO CONSTRUCTION SDN BHD is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager or Project Manager to join our team in Kuala Lumpur. This full-time position will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of construction projects.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and manage overall project activities from planning, execution, and completion, including manpower, materials, equipment, logistics, and other project resources
• Liaise and coordinate with clients, clients' representatives, authorities, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution, quality of work, and compliance with contract requirements
• Provide technical support, leadership, and guidance to project teams, site staff, suppliers, and subcontractors in project coordination, problem-solving, customer complaint handling, and implementation of project requirements
• Ensure effective implementation and compliance with the company's Quality Management System (QMS), QA/QC plans, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, and project-specific quality control measures
• Supervise, monitor, and ensure site staff, workers, and subcontractors carry out duties and responsibilities effectively, including conducting daily site briefings and overseeing site activities
• Monitor, verify, and approve project documentation and records, including progress reports, site diaries, machinery and material records, fixed asset control, cost coding, job cards, subcontractor claims, invoices, and other related documents
• Review and analyse project performance and material wastage reports, investigate abnormal variances, and implement corrective or remedial actions where necessary
• Implement and enforce all relevant company policies, procedures, instructions, and safety requirements at project sites

About you

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Building, or equivalent qualification with a minimum of 10 years of working experience in civil and building construction works
• Demonstrated success in delivering complex construction projects on time and within budget
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think critically and find innovative solutions
• Proficient in project management software and tools, such as Primavera or Microsoft Project
• Relevant qualifications in project management, construction, or a related field are highly desirable
