Job summary

JAC Recruitment is seeking a senior PMO lead to manage end-to-end delivery of data center projects in Malaysia. The role focuses on PMO leadership, governance, and coordination with clients, consultants, authorities, vendors, and subcontractors.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with extensive data centre project experience, excellent English communication, and a track record of delivering mission-critical infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline.
• 15 years of PMO/project management experience in Data Centre, M&E, Construction, Infrastructure, or mission-critical facilities.
• Proven experience delivering Data Centre projects.
• Strong Project Management and PMO leadership experience.
• Experience in contract administration, vendor management, and subcontractor coordination.
• Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills; able to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Project Management Office (PMO) to ensure successful delivery of data center projects.
• Oversee end-to-end project execution and governance across Data Centre infrastructure projects.
• Review and enhance project management SOPs, processes, and best practices.
• Manage project contracts, documentation, compliance, and stakeholder expectations.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, authorities, vendors, and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct site surveys and evaluate project implementation requirements.
• Prepare project updates, reports, and presentations for management and stakeholders.
• Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives within the PMO.

Requirements

• Preferably 15 years of project management experience within Data Center, M&E, Construction, Infrastructure, or Mission-critical Facilities Environments.
• Proven experience delivering Data Centre projects.
• Strong Project Management and PMO leadership experience.
• Experience in contract administration, vendor management, and subcontractor coordination.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
