Job summary

GRIT is seeking an experienced Technical Data Centre Program Manager in Kuala Lumpur to lead large-scale data centre projects from design through handover. We require 15+ years in data centre construction or critical infrastructure, with hyperscale and Tier III+ experience and strong M&E knowledge, including UPS, generators, chillers and BMS/SCADA.

• Support grid connection, energisation and utility coordination.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, risks, claims and commercial matters.
• Ensure compliance with relevant data centre, safety and engineering standards.
• Support operational readiness and smooth transition to the operations team.

Job description

We’re supporting a client with an exciting opportunity for an experienced Technical Data Centre Program Manager to join their team in Kuala Lumpur.

This is a senior-level role for someone with strong experience in large-scale data centre projects, particularly across design, construction, commissioning, energisation and operational handover.

The successful candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, contractors, consultants and key stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required technical standards.

What We’re Looking For

• 15+ years of experience in data centre construction, commissioning or critical infrastructure projects
• Strong experience in hyperscale / Tier III+ data centres
• Strong mechanical and electrical engineering knowledge
• Experience with critical systems such as UPS, generators, chillers, CRAH/CRAC, LV/MV distribution and BMS/SCADA
• Experience managing EPC / D&B contractors and complex stakeholders
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Building Services Engineering
• PMP, CDCP or ATD certification would be an advantage
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management and communication skills
