Job summary

BCB Development Sdn Bhd in Malaysia seeks an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee end-to-end construction projects from pre-construction to handover.

You will coordinate with consultants, contractors and authorities, monitor progress, quality and cost, and lead meetings to resolve issues. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in residential/commercial development, with strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Engineering (Civil), Architecture or equivalent.
• At least 10 years of working experience in the related field.
• Senior Manager with specialization in Engineering - Civil/Construction/Structural or equivalent.
• Experience managing residential, commercial/landed development projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction, project planning, quality management and authority requirements.
• Excellent communication, coordination, leadership and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the overall project execution from pre-construction to completion and handover.
• Coordinate closely with consultants, contractors, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Liaise with relevant authorities and utility providers to obtain necessary approvals, inspections and clearances.
• Monitor project progress, programme, quality and cost, and take necessary action to resolve delays and issues.
• Review and coordinate drawings, technical submissions, material approvals, site instructions and construction matters with the consultant team.
• Conduct and lead site meetings, consultant meetings and progress meetings, ensuring timely follow-up of outstanding matters.
• Monitor contractors' and subcontractors' performance, workmanship, resources and compliance with project requirements.
• Coordinate testing & commissioning, defects rectification, CCC requirements and final project handover.
• Prepare regular project progress and management reports and provide updates to senior management.
• Coordinate with consultants during conceptual design, design development, tender and implementation stage.

About you

Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Engineering (Civil), Architecture or equivalent

At least 10 years and above of working experience in the related field

Preferably Senior Manager specialized in Engineering - Civil/Construction/Structural or equivalent

Experience in managing residential, commercial / landed development projects

Good knowledge of construction, project planning, quality management and authority requirements

Strong communication, coordination, leadership and problem-solving skills

Able to work independently and manage multiple project priorities
