Job summary

AGB Land Sdn Bhd, an award-winning company and subsidiary of Alcom Group Berhad, seeks a civil engineer with 3–8 years in property development. The role involves planning, coordinating consultants, cost monitoring, and ensuring compliance with plans and regulations.

The position requires strong liaison with authorities, proficiency in AutoCAD and project management software, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment offering professional development and flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in civil engineering or related discipline.
• 3–8 years of relevant experience in property development.
• Experience on high-rise residential/mixed development projects preferred.
• Experience with property developers is an advantage.
• Experience in engineering/architect consultancy is an advantage.
• Knowledge of architectural or engineering design.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and project management software.
• Strong liaison with authorities and consultants.
• On-site problem-solving ability and meeting deadlines.
• Good organization and multitasking skills.
• High initiative, fast learning, dependable.
• Good team player.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preliminary planning and development studies for new projects.
• Coordinate architects, engineers, QS and other consultants for new projects.
• Prepare presentations, project updates and management papers.
• Review programme, monitor progress and prepare progress updates for management.
• Monitor day-to-day construction activities from the developer's perspective.
• Work with the Project QS to monitor cost, variation orders, claims and commitments.
• Coordinate with consultants and contractors to resolve technical issues.
• Monitor contractor compliance with drawings, specs and quality.
• Track authority-related requirements affecting progress.
• Prepare weekly and monthly project reports for management.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the company.

Job Description

• Assist in preliminary planning and development studies for new projects.
• Assist in coordinating architects, engineers, QS and other consultants for new projects.
• Assist in preparing presentations, project updates and management papers.
• Review programme, monitor progress and prepare regular project progress updates for management.
• Monitor and coordinate day-to-day construction activities from the developer's perspective.
• Work closely with the Project QS to monitor project cost, variation orders, claims and financial commitments.
• Coordinate effectively with project consultants and contractors to resolve technical and construction issues.
• Monitor the contractor's compliance with approved construction drawings, specifications and quality requirements.
• Monitor authority-related requirements that may affect construction progress.
• Prepare concise weekly and monthly project reports for management.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports.
• Perform other duties from time to time when assigned by the company.

Job Requirements

• Possess at least a bachelor degree or diploma in civil engineering or a related discipline.
• Preferably 3–8 years of relevant experience in property development.
• Candidates with strong experience working on high-rise residential / mixed development projects are strongly preferred.
• Experience working for a property developer will be an added advantage.
• Experience working in engineering/architect consultancy will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge in architectural or engineering design.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and Project Management Software.
• Possess strong liaison skills with authorities and consultants.
• Result-oriented, good analytical skills, have on-site problem-solving ability.
• Ability to work in fast paced environment to meet deadlines.
• Good organizational skills, including multitasking, and time management.
