Job summary

DK-MY Properties in Subang Jaya is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to oversee and coordinate the development and construction of high-rise property projects. You will represent the Developer, monitor progress, coordinate with architects, consultants and contractors, and ensure works comply with drawings, specifications, quality standards, budget and schedule.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related discipline and 5–8 years of building

Qualifications

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to oversee and coordinate the development and construction of our high-rise property projects.

The successful candidate will represent the Developer in monitoring project progress, coordinating consultants and contractors, ensuring works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, budget and project timeline.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee and monitor the overall construction progress of high-rise development projects.

Coordinate closely with architects, consultants, contractors, subcontractors and internal departments throughout the project development cycle.

Monitor construction activities to ensure works comply with approved drawings, specifications, contract requirements and relevant authority requirements.

Review construction progress against the approved project schedule and identify potential delays or issues.

Follow up with consultants and contractors on outstanding matters, technical issues and site rectification works.

Attend and participate in site meetings, consultant meetings and project coordination meetings.

Conduct regular site inspections to ensure workmanship and materials meet the required quality standards.

Monitor and coordinate architectural, structural, civil, M&E and infrastructure works to minimise clashes and construction issues.

Review technical submissions, shop drawings, method statements, material submissions and other project documentation where required.

Coordinate with consultants and contractors on Requests for Information (RFI), technical clarifications and design changes.

Assist management in monitoring project cost, variation works and potential claims arising during construction.

Ensure project works comply with relevant statutory requirements, authority approvals, safety requirements and development standards.

Identify project risks, construction issues and potential delays, and recommend appropriate corrective actions.

Monitor defect rectification works and ensure outstanding issues are properly closed.

Coordinate project completion activities, testing and commissioning, authority inspections, CCC preparation and handover.

Assist in the preparation of project progress reports and provide regular updates to Management.

Perform any other project-related duties assigned by Management.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.

Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in building construction or property development.

Experience in high-rise residential, commercial or mixed-development projects is highly preferred.

Candidates with experience working with a property developer, main contractor or project management consultant are encouraged to apply.

Good understanding of construction drawings, specifications, building methods and project coordination.

Familiar with local building regulations, authority requirements and construction practices.

Strong knowledge of project planning, site coordination, quality control and construction progress monitoring.

Able to coordinate effectively with consultants, contractors, authorities and internal stakeholders.

Strong problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills.

Able to work independently, take ownership of assigned responsibilities and work effectively in a fast-paced project environment.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant project/construction software.

Knowledge of AutoCAD, Microsoft Project or other project management software will be an added advantage.
