Job summary

Airswift is seeking a Project Controls Manager in Malaysia to lead planning, cost control, scheduling and change management across EPCIC projects. The role focuses on delivering schedule visibility, performance reporting and risk mitigation in a complex engineering delivery environment.

The successful candidate will oversee baselines, progress measurement and cost forecasting, working closely with project leadership to ensure safe, efficient and high-quality project execution across engineering

Qualifications

• Essential: Engineering degree (Civil, Mechanical, Mechatronics or Electrical).
• Essential: Registration with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM).
• Essential: 10+ years as a Project Engineer or similar role.
• Essential: Experience in planning, scheduling, progress reporting and change management.
• Desirable: experience within the TI/T&I sector.

Responsibilities

• Support project leadership in planning, monitoring, controls and change activities throughout project execution.
• Develop and maintain project planning packages and baselines per contract.
• Monitor, analyse and report performance against baselines, flag issues early.
• Lead planning and controls across WBS, COST structures, milestones and progress reporting.
• Prepare and maintain schedules, start-up plans, critical path reviews and histograms.
• Contribute to the Project Execution Plan including milestones and resource planning.
• Manage planning and controls resources to meet project requirements.
• Review monthly cost and progress reports; communicate forecast changes to stakeholders.
• Identify and communicate planning and controls requirements to stakeholders.
• Proactively manage change, cost and schedule with the project team.
• Oversee cost estimating, budgeting, forecasting and trend analysis to mitigate overruns.
• Contribute to risk management activities, including risk registers and mitigation actions.
