Job summary

Linesight is seeking a Senior Cost Manager MEP in Malaysia to lead pre- and post-contract cost control on large-scale construction projects. You will manage tenders, cost plans, change management, and final accounts to ensure value for money.

You will read M&E drawings, mentor teams, and collaborate with clients and project stakeholders on site in Port Dickson, delivering accurate cost reporting and proactive risk management in a dynamic consultancy environment.

Qualifications

• :Experience as a cost manager on large-scale construction projects, with leadership responsibilities.
• :Understanding M&E systems and ability to read services drawings.
• :Experience in pre-contract cost management, budget control, cost planning, and initiating change forms.
• :Chartered or on path to chartered status; assistance offered.
• :Willingness to work on site in Port Dickson.
• :Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• :Enjoy dynamic environment with ability to manage priorities and deadlines.
• :Able to build strong relationships with team and clients.

Responsibilities

• Tender/bid process from initial tender through analysis and reporting.
• Manage the change management process—identifying, analyzing, approving, and implementing changes that affect cost.
• Analyse tenders/bids to ensure client value for money.
• Assist in preparation and agreement of final accounts, including handling of claims for client value.
• Create estimates and cost plans for key client developments.
• Oversee project spend by creating valuations and cost reports, and communicate variations.
• Support project decisions through cost documentation and timely communication.
• Assist settlement of construction disputes with transparency.
• Mentor and lead team members for performance and growth.
