Job summary

Infineon Technologies AG in Malaysia is seeking a Process Development Engineer to drive development, optimization, and industrialization of semiconductor assembly processes. You will support new package introductions and ensure smooth technology transfer from development to manufacturing.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and production to deliver cost-effective, manufacturable solutions while contributing to continuous improvement and IP generation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
• 1–3 years of experience in semiconductor process development or related field.
• Hands-on experience in Process Metrology and inspection systems.
• Knowledge of semiconductor assembly processes and manufacturing controls.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform process development activities including scouting, optimization, verification, qualification and process freeze to meet targets for quality, cost and manufacturability.
• Support prototype builds, engineering samples, and development lots ensuring technical readiness and stability.
• Drive knowledge transfer between Development and Operations for successful manufacturing implementation.
• Maintain and update Process Specifications, PFMEA/DFMEA, and other process-related records.
• Provide input for POR, Assembly Design Rules, Process Roadmaps and Control Plans.
