Job summary

Materion is seeking a Senior Process Engineer in Penang, Malaysia. This role focuses on developing and optimizing manufacturable process solutions, analyzing data with process capability, GD&T, FMEA, and DMAIC, and supporting KPIs including cost, uptime, 5S and safety.

Hands-on product and equipment work and smooth transfer of processes to Operations are key. The ideal candidate has a degree in Chemical/Applied Science/Physics/Materials Engineering, 5+ years in cleaning and lithography process

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in cleaning and lithography process engineering in manufacturing.
Experience in optics industry preferred.
Ability to lead and execute on technical projects and teams.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, fluent English mandatory.
Knowledge of MS Office, Minitab and JMP.

Responsibilities

Develop, optimize and implement process solutions that meet tech capability and manufacturability.
Data analysis including process capability, GD&T and other analyses like FMEA & DMAIC.
Support engineering and operational KPIs: cost, uptime, 5S and safety.
Ensure smooth transfer of process solution from development to operation.
Maintain 5S in development area; hands-on with products and equipment.
