Job summary

Jobvite, Inc. in Malaysia is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer CM Support (Optic) to act as the primary technical and quality liaison between the contract manufacturer and internal Ops, Quality, and Product Engineering teams.

You will lead process development, qualification, process transfers, and continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, DOE, SPC, PFMEA, and related methods. Travel around 15% is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments.
• Process development and equipment qualification.
• Strong problem solving using data analysis and DOE.
• Cross-functional collaboration with operations and suppliers.
• Willingness to travel around 15%.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between Samtec, the CM partner, and internal teams to resolve issues and meet requirements.
• Provide first-level engineering and quality support for process, equipment, yield, and nonconformance issues; lead containment and corrective actions.
• Lead NPI, process transfers, and ramp activities with qualification planning, validation, and training oversight.
• Standardize manufacturing best practices and maintain technical documentation (process parameters, SOPs, work instructions, audits).
• Lead process improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, DOE, SPC, PFMEA and other methods.
• Review and approve process changes for compliance with standards and customer requirements.
• Plan audits of CM operations and verify corrective actions.
• Monitor CM KPIs and communicate trends and status to stakeholders.
• Lead regular business and quality reviews with all stakeholders.
