Job summary

Materion seeks a senior process engineer to develop and optimize manufacturable process solutions in an optics-focused environment. The role emphasizes data-driven analysis, process capability, GD&T, FMEA, and DMAIC, with hands-on work and 5S maintenance in the development area.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in cleaning and lithography process engineering, strong English communication, and the ability to lead technical projects within a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical/Applied Science/Physics/Material Engineering.
• 5+ years in cleaning and lithography process engineering in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in optics industry preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and execute on technical projects and teams.
• Excellent written and verbal English, reporting to an overseas manager.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Minitab and JMP.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize and implement process solutions that meet technical capability and manufacturability.
• Data analysis including process capability, GD&T, and DMAIC (root cause analysis).
• Support engineering KPIs and operational KPIs in cost, uptime, 5S and safety.
• Ensure smooth transfer of process solutions from development to operations.
• Maintain 5S in the development area and equipment.
• Hands-on with handling of products and equipment adjustments.
