Job summary

Materion in Penang, Malaysia is seeking a skilled process engineer to develop and optimize manufacturable solutions, analyze data with process capability, GD&T, FMEA and DMAIC, and support engineering and operations KPIs including cost, uptime, 5S and safety.

You will ensure smooth transfer of process solutions to Operations, maintain 5S in the development area, perform hands-on product and equipment work, and apply measurement and quality judgement to products.

Qualifications

Education – Degree in Chemical/ Applied Science/Physics/Material Engineering
Experience – 5+ years in cleaning and lithography process engineering
Experience in optics industry preferred
Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects and teams
Excellent written and verbal English; reporting to overseas manager

Responsibilities

Develop, optimize and implement process solutions meeting capability and manufacturability.
Analyze data using process capability, GD&T and FMEA/DMAIC methods.
Achieve engineering KPIs and support Operational KPIs for cost, uptime, 5S and safety.
Ensure smooth transfer of process solutions from development to Operations.
Maintain 5S in the development engineering work area and equipment.
Hands-on with products, equipment operation and adjustment; measure and judge quality.
