Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Payroll Senior Officer to oversee accurate and timely payroll processing, including basic salary, overtime, and allowances, in a manufacturing setting. You will prepare monthly payroll reports for Finance and ensure timely filing of annual tax reports to IRD.

In addition, you will support HR Payroll System changes, assist in payroll audits, respond to inquiries, and drive continuous process improvements while coordinating yearly statutory submissions to Labour Dept.,

Qualifications

• Degree in any discipline.
• At least 5 years’ payroll processing experience in manufacturing environment.
• Maintains confidentiality and accountability.
• Eye for details and accuracy in deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Process employee payrolls accurately and timely.
• Ensure correct calculation of basic salary, overtime, and allowances in compliance with statutory requirements.
• Prepare monthly payroll reports and submit to Finance.
• File annual tax reports to IRD on a timely basis.
• Support HR Payroll System changes and vendor system updates timely.
• Assist on payroll audit matters and inquiries.
• Analyze payroll data and investigate discrepancies.
• Drive process improvements in payroll processing.
• Coordinate yearly reports to Labour Dept., MIDA, etc.; handle ad hoc data requests.
