Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an HR Executive (Payroll) to support day-to-day HR operations with a key focus on payroll administration and statutory compliance. The role will support general HR matters across the employee lifecycle and progressively take ownership of the end-to-end payroll function as payroll is transitioned in-house.

Responsibilities include processing monthly payroll, maintaining payroll data, handling new joiners, salary adjustments, resignations and final payments, and submitting

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in HR/Business Administration, Accounting or related field.
• 2-4 years of HR experience with hands-on payroll experience.
• Good knowledge of Malaysian payroll and statutory requirements (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB, HRD Corp).
• Familiarity with payroll systems or HRIS.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Detail-oriented, organised and able to meet payroll deadlines.
• Able to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Proactive, responsible and able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Support the preparation and processing of monthly payroll, including payroll checking and reconciliation.
• Maintain payroll information including salary, allowances, deductions, overtime, claims and other adjustments.
• Handle payroll matters for new joiners, salary adjustments, resignations and final payments.
• Prepare statutory contributions and payroll-related submissions (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB, HRD Corp).
• Maintain accurate and confidential payroll records and respond to payroll-related enquiries.
• Liaise with payroll vendors and relevant authorities as required.
• Progressively take ownership of full payroll cycle as payroll is brought in-house.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, confirmation, employee movements and offboarding.
• Maintain employee records, leave and attendance information.
• Prepare employment letters and HR documentation.
