Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to manage end-to-end payroll for up to 300 employees. You will maintain records, process statutory deductions, and ensure timely submissions.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in payroll, strong numerical skills, and a solid grasp of Malaysian payroll regulations. Immediate start preferred; familiarity with Worksy is a plus. You will collaborate with HR and Finance to support audits and reporting, while maintaining data confidentiality.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on payroll experience in medium to large organisations.
• Experience using Worksy system preferred.
• Strong understanding of Malaysian payroll regulations and statutory deductions.
• High attention to detail and strong numerical skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to work with different stakeholders and maintain professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end payroll processing for up to 300 headcount accurately and timely.
• Maintain and update employee records, ensuring all payroll data is complete and correct.
• Process statutory contributions including EPF, SOCSO, EIS, HRD, PCB and ensure timely submission.
• Handle payroll variations such as overtime, allowances, unpaid leave, new joiners, resignations, and other adjustments.
• Prepare monthly payroll reports, bank files, and year-end reporting requirements.
• Ensure payroll compliance with Malaysian Employment Act, statutory regulations, and internal policies.
• Manage employee queries related to payroll and provide clear, professional support.
• Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to support audits, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Maintain confidentiality and integrity of payroll information at all times.
