Job summary

Shanghai BSF Human Resources Co., Ltd is seeking a Senior Packaging Designer (relocation needed) for a leading packaging and renewable materials company. You will design packaging structures and collaborate with international clients to create eco-friendly solutions that reflect brand and product needs.

You will use ArtiosCAD and 3D CAD tools (SolidWorks/NX) to develop innovative structures, manage multiple projects, and balance protection, cost, and unboxing experiences.

Qualifications

• 8+ years experience in packaging design/engineering.
• Proficient in ArtiosCAD for packaging structures.
• Strong knowledge of 3D CAD tools (SolidWorks/NX).
• Fluent in English and Chinese for client interaction.

Responsibilities

• Interface with customers to translate needs into packaging specifications.
• Develop and implement packaging designs balancing unboxing, protection, containment, brand communication and cost.
• Apply knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes and testing to meet design requirements.
• Provide regular design updates and manage multiple projects while communicating with customers.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Interface and collaborate with customers, understand customer needs and translate those needs into designing requirements leading to specific packaging and process specifications.
• Develop and implement packaging designs for products and accessories. Balance a positive unboxing experience, protection, containment, brand communication and cost-effectiveness. Help to bring innovative packaging to meet customer needs.
• Use knowledge of packaging materials, manufacturing process and transportation testing to deliver exceptional packaging solutions against demanding design requirements.
• Generate and maintain frequently packaging development updates within the internal team and manage multiple project streams and communicate with customer.
• Other tasks assigned by superiors.

Requirements

• Open to be relocated to Changzhou, Jiangsu Province, China.
• Proficient in both Chinese andEnglish.
• 8+ years of industry experience with a company utilizing packaging designing or engineering.Experience with structural packaging design software such as ArtiosCAD.
• Experience with 3D CAD design software such as SolidWorks, NX or equivalent.
• Experience troubleshooting technical challenges and managing them through resolution.
• Ability to multi-task, work quickly, and communicate accurately and effectively.
• Ability to work comfortably individually and good team player.
• Customer orientation and business acumen.
• Accountability and be able to be working under pressure.
