Job summary

Our Client in Malaysia is seeking a Senior Optical Transceiver Test Technician to support manufacturing and engineering testing of high-speed optical transceiver products. The role emphasizes test execution, automation, hardware troubleshooting, and continuous improvement on the production floor and engineering labs.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in optical module manufacturing or high-speed electronics testing.
• Experience operating automated test equipment is highly preferred.
• Experience with optical communication products is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Operate automated test stations for optical transceiver products and perform production testing.
• Conduct optical and electrical tests for 800G/1.6T modules and assist with engineering validation builds.
• Verify module functionality and ensure correct fixture, cable, fiber, and connector configurations.
• Perform daily setup, calibration, preventive maintenance, and hardware support for test stations.
• Troubleshoot equipment including DCA, BERT, power meters, SMU, and temperature controllers.
• Maintain test fixtures, cables, adapters, and consumables to maximize uptime.
• Record test results accurately and collect engineering data (DCA waveforms, BER, optical power, DDM).
• Assist Test Engineers with root-cause investigations and station correlation testing.
