Teradyne in Penang, Malaysia seeks a senior field engineer to lead on-site installation, bring‑up, and commissioning of high‑speed digital and optical test systems. You will coordinate with global teams to ensure acceptance criteria, provide hands‑on troubleshooting, and deliver complete installation documentation for customers.

The role requires deep knowledge of high‑speed digital/optical tech, effective communication with customers, and the ability to travel as needed to customer sites

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Engineering or Photonics or equivalent.
• 8–10 years of field installation, product, sustaining, or hardware engineering experience with complex test equipment.
• Proven ability to install, integrate, commission, troubleshoot, and achieve customer acceptance for complex systems.

Responsabilidades

• Lead on-site installation, integration, bring-up, commissioning, and customer acceptance of high-speed digital and optical test systems.
• Verify site readiness, utilities, networking, cabling, software/firmware revisions, calibration, and documentation before deployment.
• Troubleshoot electrical, software, firmware, and signal-integrity issues to root cause and closure.
• Perform measurements like BER, eye diagrams, jitter, optical power, and wavelengths to validate system performance.
