Job summary

Teradyne Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a senior field installation and customer-site support engineer to lead on-site installation, bring-up, commissioning, and support for high-speed digital and optical test products. You will coordinate with global engineering, manufacturing, and service teams to ensure readiness, acceptance, and smooth deployment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Photonics, or equivalent.
10-15 years of relevant field installation and support experience for complex test and measurement products.
Proven ability to independently install, integrate, commission, troubleshoot, and obtain customer acceptance for complex systems.
Knowledge of high-speed digital and optical technologies: signal integrity, jitter, BER, optical interfaces.
Experience reading schematics, interconnects, and device specifications.

Responsibilities

Lead on-site installation, integration, bring-up, commissioning, and customer acceptance of high-speed digital/optical test systems.
Confirm site readiness, utilities, networking, cabling, tooling, and software/firmware revisions before deployment.
Troubleshoot electrical, software, firmware, and signal- integrity issues across subsystems.
Perform high-speed digital/optical measurements (BER, eye diagrams, jitter) and document results.
Maintain installation records, baselines, test data, and customer-facing summaries.
Coordinate with global teams to resolve installation blockers and ensure customer satisfaction.
