Job summary

PERSOL Workforce Solutions Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a Senior Operator for a 360-day contract at Senai, Johor. The role involves leading testing and inspection activities, coordinating operators, and ensuring quality across processes.

You will manage man-days, samples, equipment maintenance, safety and data reporting, with day and night fixed shifts. The package includes basic salary RM2100 plus night/travel/meal allowances and statutory protections.

Responsibilities

Job description

Position : Senior operator
Status : 360 days contract with PERSOL Workforce Solutions Malaysia Sdn. Bhd.
Work Location : Jalan Cyber 14 Senai Industrial Estate 4, 81400 Senai Johor
Company’s Background : Electronic Manufacturer
Working Day : 4 days work, 2 days off and 1 day rest day
Working Hours : 7am/pm – 7pm/am
OT : Depend on Client Demand and Testing/Test Requirement
Shift Pattern : Fixed Shift - Open to Both Shifts (Day and Night)
Basic : RM2100
Cut-off Date : 22nd of the month
Allowances : Night Shift RM100, Travel RM100, Meal RM100
Entitlements : EPF, SOCSO and EIS contributions, annual leave, sick leave, hospitalization leave, compassionate leave, maternity and paternity leave, medical protection and insurance, bonus based on client discretion, a 2-hour break, transportation for Friday prayers and transport to the clinic (case to case basis) while medical services on-site available as per pay and claim basis.

1. Testing and Inspection Coordination
   • Monitor and execute testing procedures, including specialized tests using automated systems and manual setups.
   • Conduct detailed inspections and track testing outcomes, failures, and safety risks.
   • Provide timely updates and reports on test status, data logging, and first layer troubleshooting.
2. Operator Support and Training
   • Train new operators using training methods in the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), including buddy systems and guidance for test setups and compliance.
   • Plan and manage manpower allocations, operator rotations, attendance tracking, and operator support schedules.
3. Man-days Recording and Reporting
   • Record man-days usage daily by documenting how operator time is distributed across multiple projects.
   • Compile and total man-days at the end of the reporting cycle (cut-off period) to facilitate cross-charging to respective projects.
4. Sample and Consumable Management
   • Manage sample inventory, registration, organization, and disposals.
   • Track, restock, and monitor consumables and personal protection equipment (PPE) required for testing and day-to-day lab operations.
5. Equipment Maintenance and Troubleshooting
   • Perform first-level troubleshooting on lab equipment and test rigs.
   • Ensure equipment maintenance, including preventive measures and modifications, with technician supervision when required.
6. Safety and Compliance Monitoring
   • Maintain 24/7 oversight for safety coverage during high-risk operations.
   • Conduct process audits and ensure operator adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), test requirements, and lab 5S practices.
7. Data Management and Reporting
   • Verify test data and results, including extraction, compilation, and reporting to relevant technical teams.
8. Other adhoc tasks assigned by clients where necessary.
