Job summary

Stone Devices Sdn Bhd is seeking a diligent Machine Operator to support our manufacturing floor in Johor. The role focuses on operating equipment, handling materials and tooling, and ensuring quality through in-process checks.

You will study work instructions, assist the shift leader, and participate in 6S and team-based production targets, with training provided to develop skills and advance within the company.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment and handle material and tooling.
• Perform in-process quality checks to ensure output is consistent.

• Assist leader in coordinating day-to-day manufacturing operations.
• Carry out production materials handling and restore after usage.
• Collaborate with team to achieve production targets and efficiency.
• Participate in training sessions to develop skills and stay updated.
• Handle repetitive assembly tasks.
• Responsible for production and quality output.
• Train new hired workers (Buddy system).
• Load & unload of equipment and material.
• Process information from production orders.
• Communicate with co-workers about job specifications and requirements.
• Daily 6S for the production floor and keep area clean and organized.
• Other tasks as assigned by manager or supervisor.

Operate equipment and handle material and tooling

Perform necessary in-process quality checks to ensure output is consistent from start to finish.

Study and understand work instructions and specifications to determine correct method of setup and process control for material conversion.

Assist leader in coordinating day to day manufacturing operations within the individual process and department.

Carry-out production materials and restore back after usage according to the rack list.

Collaborating with team members and supervisors to achieve production targets and maintain workflow efficiency

Participating in training sessions to develop skills and stay updated with new procedures or equipment

Handle repetitive assembly tasks

Responsible for production and quality output

Training new hired workers (Buddy system)

Responsible in Loading & Unloading of equipment & material

Process information from the production orders

Communicate with co-workers about job specifications and requirements

Daily 6S for entire production floor – Ensuring the work environment is kept clean & organized which inclusive daily maintenance and housekeeping on assigned machine and facilities and factory area.

Any other tasks and responsibilities assigned by manager or supervisor when required.

Requirements:

Proven experience as Machine Operator in Manufacturing preferred.

Ability to multitask and handle tasks under pressure.

Must have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Must have the ability to apply information and variables learned from one task or project to other similar situations.

Responsible, punctual, disciplined and able to work as part of a team

Posses career growth from operator level to supervisor and even to better position.

Physical Demands:

Lifting: lifts up to 1-15kg.

Standing for longer hours (depends on process)

Qualifications:

Minimum SPM holder

Good English and Bahasa Malaysia

Skills: Efficient and attentive to detail.

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar position.
