Job summary

AMD in Penang, Malaysia is seeking an experienced engineer to provide deep technical support for new product introduction and deployment. You will work closely with internal teams and external developers to identify, define, and resolve development issues affecting test results, efficiency, and cost.

The candidate should be independent, self-motivated and possess good communication skills, with a proven ability to lead and collaborate across functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in CS/CE/EE/ME with >4 relevant years of experience.
• Diploma in any engineering discipline with >6 yrs relevant experience.
• Independent, self-motivated and strong communication; collaborative team player.

Responsibilities

• Oversee NPI equipment installation at test floor and support maintenance strategies.
• Provide in-depth technical assistance and resolution for engineering problems.
• Collaborate with developers/cross-functional teams to identify and solve development issues.
• Initiate engineering solutions to optimize overall equipment effectiveness and reduce maintenance cost.
• Establish or maintain test equipment documentation for ISO/quality requirements.
• Provide equipment training to lab engineering users and cultivate technical proficiency for lab technicians.
