Job summary

AMD in Penang, Malaysia seeks an experienced engineer to provide deep technical support across pre- and post‑deployment of new products, working with internal teams and OEMs to define and resolve development issues that affect test results, operational efficiency, and cost.

The role requires independence, strong communication, and leadership with a focus on problem solving and equipment reliability. ISO/quality requirements are part of daily practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Diploma in an engineering discipline with relevant experience.
• Experience with NPI and equipment qualification is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities; able to lead with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Oversee NPI equipment installation at test floor and support equipment qualification and maintenance.
• Provide in‑depth technical assistance for engineering problems.
• Collaborate with developers and cross‑functional teams to identify and solve developmental problems.
• Initiate engineering solutions to optimize equipment effectiveness and reduce maintenance cost.
• Maintain test equipment documentation to meet ISO/quality requirements.
• Provide equipment training to lab engineering users and colleagues.
