Job summary

AMD Penang seeks an independent, self-motivated engineer to provide deep technical support for new product introductions and deployments, partnering with internal teams and OEMs.

You will troubleshoot test results, optimize equipment effectiveness, and develop maintenance strategies, while documenting ISO/quality procedures and sharing expertise with lab staff.

The role emphasizes leadership, strong communication, and collaborative problem solving in a hybrid lab environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical /Electronic, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline with preferred >4 relevant years of experience. Or
• Diploma in any engineering discipline with preferred >6yrs relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing NPI equipment installation at test floor, support equipment and hardware qualification, equipment conversion and commissioning, developing maintenance strategies and troubleshooting equipment test issues.
• Provide in-depth technical assistance and resolution for engineering problems encountered.
• Collaborate with developers/cross-functional team to identify, define, and solve developmental problems.
• Initiate engineering solutions to optimize overall equipment effectiveness and reduce maintenance cost.
• Establish and/or maintain test equipment documentation for ISO/quality requirement.
• Provide equipment training to lab engineering users and cultivate technical proficiency for lab technicians.
