NPI Product Development Engineer – Program Management

Job summary

AMD in Penang, Malaysia is seeking a motivated engineer to join the Engineering Services team within Product Development. You will manage master product data, manufacturing specifications and BOM through the product life cycle and coordinate NPI sample planning and execution.

The role requires detail-oriented, process-minded professionals who can work independently and as a team player, with strong organizational and communication skills; experience with AGILE PDM and semiconductors is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline; electronics/semiconductors knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Establish samples plan and schedule; track, schedule, and deliver early prototype samples to internal/external customers.
• Be independent and proactive in solving issues that may interrupt NPI samples.
• Liaise with AMD labs and manufacturing sites to ensure execution per plan and mitigate schedule interruptions.
• Build and support manufacturing specifications and BOM throughout the product life cycle; ensure adherence to processes.
• Manage BOM release/changes per change management process and resolve BOM-related manufacturing issues.
• Participate in process improvement projects to drive efficiency and productivity.
