Job summary

AMD in Penang, Malaysia, is seeking a technically capable professional to provide deep support for engineering issues before, during, and after new product introductions. You will work with internal teams and OEMs to resolve problems impacting test results, efficiency, and cost.

The ideal candidate is independent, communicative, and capable of leading with analytical thinking in a collaborative lab environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CS/CE/EE or related field with 4+ years' experience.
Diploma in engineering with 6+ years' relevant experience.

Responsibilities

Overseeing NPI equipment installation at test floor, support equipment and hardware qualification, equipment conversion and commissioning, developing maintenance strategies and troubleshooting equipment test issues.
Provide in-depth technical assistance and resolution for engineering problems encountered.
Collaborate with developers/cross‑functional team to identify, define, and solve developmental problems.
Initiate engineering solutions to optimize overall equipment effectiveness and reduce maintenance cost.
Establish and/or maintain test equipment documentation for ISO/quality requirement.
Provide equipment training to lab engineering users and cultivate technical proficiency for lab technicians.
